Amanda Embry is a Consultant with Keen Independent and is Residential Faculty, Director of Theatre Arts and Past Chair of the Scottsdale Community College School of Film and Theatre. At Scottsdale Community College, she teaches coursework in theatrical design, production, history and management.
Ms. Embry has extensive expertise in higher education administration, academic program development and theatrical production and management. Her professional theatrical experience includes design, management and technical assignments on hundreds of productions in New York City, Texas, Colorado and Arizona.
Ms. Embry has strong connections in Colorado and has worked as a designer for theatrical productions in Creede, Colorado at the Creede Repertory Theatre. Her work has toured to the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities in Arvada, Colorado where she is connected with the production team. Ms. Embry is also well connected with former colleagues and students who are currently working in the Denver performing arts community. Recently, Ms. Embry worked on the Venue Market Analysis and Feasibility Study for Denver Arts and Venues where she conducted in-depth interviews with Denver-area performing arts organizations.
Amanda Embry has her Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Set and Costume Design from Southern Methodist University and her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater Design and Technology from University of Evansville.
