The City of El Paso engaged Keen Independent Research to analyze whether there is a level playing field for minority-, woman- and veteran-owned businesses in the local marketplace.
The disparity study will provide data about marketplace conditions and any disparities in City contracts, as well as insights from business representatives on ways to improve procurement practices. Texas-based study member Customer Research International (CRI) will survey firms in the region to identify companies available for contracts with the City.
Study results will help the City of El Paso assess its current equity efforts and identify any new measures needed to encourage the participation of diverse businesses in its contracts.
