Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Keen Independent helps clients realize their goals for diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. We examine issues specific to each organization and tailor near-term and long-term actions to address inequities and barriers to diversity and inclusion related
to workforce, contracting and services to the public.
How We Do It
Clients often reach out to Keen Independent after they have made initial steps to embrace DEIB as a core value but lack the foundation to create change in their organizations. Keen Independent begins by researching issues specific to an organization and filling gaps in needed information. We often broaden an organization’s concept of DEI to include how they serve the community, along with equity and inclusion in employee hiring, promotions, retention, compensation and workplace culture. We do this through:
- Rigorous qualitative and quantitative research with employees, residents, businesses and others
- Close working relationships with leaders at all levels
- Evidence based recommendations
- Transparent and inclusive language that encourages more to embrace DEIB
- On-going implementation support
